“The Twisted Life of a Writer”

Dear Possible Readers,

All right.....mind is racing and this seems to happen when I should be writing and when it has been to long away from my work.

So I am calling this piece “The Twisted Life of a Writer” now.....now.....you writers out there, don't dare say you have not been here time to time.....

This brings me back to when I decided to write my crazy thoughts on paper, and how good it felt to let my twisted mind loose.....

Life: life is what happens to us all, rather it is the crazy hours of a “Job”, marriage, children, schedules, responsibilities, all the stuff that we have no choice but to take on with bull horns or what we wished was bull horns....instead it is begging the coffee maker to rush in the pot, looking at the capitation trying to figure out how we can get the coffee straight to our veins.

Why?
Because, you have spent the whole night writing your latest thoughts and imaginable treasures on your laptop, maybe sipping wine or more coffee....maybe you mix the both in hopes of completing the last thoughts of the chapter, because you know that once you go to bed your writing spirit, will be pushed to rest until the next thoughts roll back in your court....this might take place, when you physically are unable to pull your laptop out and bleed your words on your saved documents as though your hands are a robot in time passing the keys as though, they will snap of at any moment.
Instead you write that needed thought on a piece of paper that you push in your pocket, you do this while someone is trying to have a conversation with you and they think that you are brain dead, because you keep repeating “Yah” “I know” or “Yup agreed”. They have no idea that your mind is completely in the gutter and need to write it down before the thought goes missing.

You grab a napkin or what ever is in your reach, sometimes I text it to my phone, which I have learned that it is much better than that napkin going through the laundry and disappearing as much unwanted writer's block. I find these notes and sketches all through the house, my car, and my work. I am unorganized and bit dysfunctional when it comes to keeping notes.
Is this what writing is about?
Of course! Why not?
Each and every bit of surroundings and connections are lost through the minds of writers. We get our passion through the quirky parts of life. If there was nothing to live, there would not be a thing to write about.
Example:
A fishing trip with the family, enjoyable and love every moment about it. Then you see this floppy weed swaying around the water and see it pull underneath the surface. Yah!.....Ding..... What if? Your mind starts on the lands of Pasmaqon or the stupid romance novel that you have been working on the last five years. Maybe a short story that will grow into a freaky thriller later in the years. Who could tell!
All is inspiration, so yes.......if you are friends or married to a writer and that person shuts down, it doesn't mean that we are crazy it just means that you will be reading about that moment later in time. So yes- I think writers include their loves, enemies, and acquaintances in their stories because that is a dramatized character ready to be born.
So needless to say, I take lots of mental notes and save them for later or write like a mad woman later in the day....Some I delete and mad that I wasted my time, others have grown into a great magical character that I fall in love with and can't stop writing about their story. Inspiration is a matter of the moment, documenting it into time is the key.
When I have a writers block, I take a walk along the ocean or I visit little shops on the coast, I get to know people's characters and their super inner beings. Because , that is what writers do, they take every detail in as though, it is the last that they would ever see it. They mentally stop talking for a brief moment to mentally document the last few moments. This is what goes into a story and then into a book that blossoms a writer into a author.
Most of us writers, don't write full time, we have the “job” , family, and the crazy life that goes with it. I truly believe that any object can be made into a story. Maybe not a good one, but all has potential. So the years that it takes us to get a little bit of readers and the make of a new novel, is not time well spent....it is time well developed.

I call my page “Quirky thoughts of a Author” well....here it is and this one probably tops the cake, but you know what. Something great will come out of every thought and it all takes time.

I wrote my thought quickly and may or may not edited, because this is me in a nutshell, you never know what you will get.

So I am off to write, because today I have seen things that I need to write about, I need to get off my chest. I know that these little facts will grow into a mass of destruction of writing.......because that is what we do.

It is all the matter of art along the words, your words hold a character of the colors of a artist, you could be the Van Gough of your own vision or maybe your own grammatical notion????

A thought? Who cares it is all really about the art of your voice, rather through a paint brush or the vision that you share with your keyboard.

Happy Reading and Writing,
J.T. Brown

I might regret being so honest, but writing is not pleasing it is sharing....
Quirky? Yes?
