"Gypsy's Meadow"

Dear Horse Lovers and Supporters,

A few months back, my daughter and I wrote a book from our hearts. “Gypsy's Meadow” was meant to shelved on our inner corner and only shared between one another. Knowing that our loss was to hard to share. After visiting a wonderful equine shelter shortly after my daughter's best equine friends death. We realized that sharing this book could open up the door for many other horses futures. Showing them with a little love, rightful owners could make their short lives a dream come true.
Horse's can not pick their owners, for they hold the fears and the neglect through their shallow of their eyes. They remember their past, they are controlled to live it every day in hopes of surviving just one more moment. Hoping that just one person cares for them enough to help them escape through the self torture and the physical torture they live in.
Not all horses are abused that go through shelters, some owners can not afford to take care of them, or they move on with their lives without their beloved horses. Horses get left behind all of the time. They depend on us to help them survive, but when they have no one to help them survive they vanish in their hearts and their souls grow to sorrow.
Luckily there are Equine Shelters out there, saving the ones that are fortunate enough to be saved. These horses need to learn how to trust again, and learn that every meal is not their last. This takes a lot of time and money. The heart filled Shelter owners have a hard time funding such a project. It is very expensive to bring a horse back to health and keep from turning back the other way.
My daughter and I are donating the full profit from the book to “First Light Farm Equine Shelter” and keeping a $1.00/book out of the proceeds to add on our farm for foster horses in hopes of freeing up more room at the shelter so, Andrea Barstow (Owner of First Light Farm) can bring in more horses with their sad stories. Andrea has worked very hard in making a difference for these equine new found friends.
We are hoping many more in the future. “Gypsy's Meadow” could be a new beginning for many more horses.

Our mission is to share this dear story with others to encourage you to reach out to the horses that are unable to use their voice, looking to be cared for and loved. Be their voice and make a difference.

I can't help but look through the horses at “Camelot Farms” This farm is located in New Jersey, their farm is a place where horses have a chance to get auctioned off, it is kind of a “Last Chance” place for horses. The sad part, and I am sure the ones at Camelot have a hard time with this. The horses that are unable to get placed go to slaughterhouses. Some of them are pregnant, foals, donkeys, mules, 2-5 years of age, and horses that come in as pairs that are separated from one another. So many sad stories there, and so many rescues and happy endings.

I could only hope that one day “Gypsy's Meadow” could give a helping hand and pull some of these horses out before it is too late.

Please, take a moment and learn about the shelter, our book, auctions, and how to save a horse.

We have recieved some wonderful Reviews so far:

Makayla Thomas Review: One of the biggest notes of this book is it was written to benefit a Horse Shelter. It's another reminder that there are loving animals in need of forever homes.

This book is absolutely lovely. In the very beginning it shows that a child can often see the good in something that, as adults, we may not. I found so many "little notes" within the book that we often forget. I think may of us ignore an important fact made within this book: we get to choose our pet, they don't get to choose us. It's up to us to make sure we're worthy of the trust and love we ask in return from them.

Told from Gypsy's point of view, I dare you to not have a tear come to your eye as Gypsy trusts the new little girl and remembers times when he was scared and fighting to just gain a few bites to eat. A sad but beautiful story of the life of an animal.

This review was through Book Blogs.....

Please share this book as much as you can, and make a difference.....
